	Proposition 88 is a bad idea.
	The state education system is suffering already from too much control by Sacramento.  It should be clear by now that, in addition to not being able to resist bleeding off education money in times of crisis, the 120 men and women of the state Legislature are simply not competent to effectively direct the affairs of each of the school districts in the state.
	The solution to the state's education problems is to return control of administration and financing to the counties and to the school districts, where local parents and educators can keep an eye on things.
	Instead, this measure sends more money to Sacramento, to be parceled out in accord with yet another set of standards devised by the Legislature.  Wrong direction for the cash flow, and yet another loss of local control.  Vote NO on 88.
